He also sits on the advisory board of Energy Cables Co. From 2006 to 2011 Hassan was chairman of Export Development Bank of Egypt and from 2004 to 2006 was managing director of Suez Canal Bank (Egypt). Hassan also served as the General Manager of Financial Institutions & Correspondent Banking Group Commercial International Bank (Egypt).

During 20 years at Concord, Raafat raised funds for listed, mutual and private equity funds in the Middle East, Europe and Canada, while concluding several mergers and acquisition whether through private placements or IPOS.

  • Prior to joining Abraaj, Amr was a senior member of EFG- Hermes investment banking, most recently as Director and investment banking committee member in Cairo and Dubai where he specialized in equity offerings and M&A/ restructurings where he advised on over USD 11bn worth of transactions.
  • Helal originated, lead and executed a number of high profile transactions throughout the MENA region including the IPO of Talaat Mustafa Group, the sale of the 2nd Saudi mobile license to Etisalat and the sale of Al-Ahram Beverages to Heineken International to name a few.

Mohamed Adel

Mohamed Adel has over 10 years of experience in Auditing and Accounting sector.

Prior joining Capstone Advisory Services in 2013, Adel worked as a Senior financial auditor at Grant Thornton Egypt. Adel has a wide experience in financial statements preparation according to various global standards including the Egyptian financial reporting standards. He also manages the in and out cash flows of the Group.

From 2008 to 2011, Adel worked in the Accounting, Auditing, Tax and consulting group of PRIME GLOBAL with its Egyptian partner Mr. Khalid EL Ghanamm. He managed several Financial Due Diligence assignments of Assets revaluation for the purpose of merge and selling, Western Union Egypt and kharafi group would be a part of his assignments. Adel was one of the official arbitrators assigned by International Commercial Arbitration Center in the settlement of the dispute of the famous case of OMAR AFFENDI EGYPT. Finally, he has a wide experience in tax field dealing with all tax authorities in Egypt and managing tax inspections according to the Egyptian laws and provision.

  • From 2010 to 2015, Hamza was managing the real estate investment portfolio of Baniyas Investment & Development Company (BIDC) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. His role as a director involved identifying prospective top tier tenants, negotiating long term lease contracts, and raising and restructuring debt financing for the different projects. In addition, he was managing BIDC’s portfolio of regional public equities.
  • From 2006 to 2009, Hamza was mandated to set up the regional fund management function for NAEEM Holding in the UAE. He launched and managed NAEEM’s flagship MENA equity fund, which significantly outperformed benchmark and peers under his management. As part of his mandate, he set up the buy-side research desk and was also guiding the research teams in Egypt and UAE with regards to strategies, coverage, and priorities. He was a member of the regional investment committee of NAEEM Holding.
  • From 2005 to 2006, Hamza was head of research at National Bank of Abu Dhabi where he set up the department and was heavily involved in the fund management process. He produced several notes on regional equities and economies in addition to the monthly newsletters of the equity funds. Hamza was a member of the investment committee of the asset management group.
  • Hesham started his career at Concord International Investments in Egypt as an equity analyst covering listed equities on the Egyptian Stock Exchange. During his eight year tenure there, he was promoted several times and his last role was serving as a corporate finance manager in Concord Corporate Finance & Securities.
  • In addition to being a CFA charterholder, Hesham holds an MA in Finance & Investment from the University of Exeter, UK and BA in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo.

  • Prior joining Capstone Advisory Services in 2015, Soliman worked as an investment banker in the M&A department of Beltone Financial. Soliman advised to secure USD 40mn project financing for a leading real estate developer. Additionally, Soliman provided sell side advisory service for several companies in the real estate, F&B and education sector.
  • From 2005 to 2010, Soliman worked in the asset management company of CI-Capital. He managed several equity portfolios worth of USD 100mn in the portfolio management division. Additionally, Soliman pitched for new portfolios and successfully raised USD 14mn to the portfolio management division. Finally, he was a member of the investment committee in CI- asset management where he developed research coverage for the real estate sector in the MENA region.
  • Soliman also founded Solera LLC, a leading company in the solar energy market in Egypt. The company prime focus is on thermal and electricity generation in Egypt and Africa and currently has 10 employees. He also serves as a board member on the board of Solera LLC
  • Soliman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the American University of Cairo and holds a MBA from IE Business school Madrid. In addition to being a Certified Portfolio Manager, Soliman is a CFA level 2 candidate.

  • He is a pharmaceutical professional with 25 years of sales, marketing and business development experience in the Health & Pharmaceutical industry. Experience took place among national and multinational companies.
  • Sales experience, including national key accounts management, product launches, territory management, and training of national and retail sales associates. An expert in developing and executing strategies that increase in sales and market share, identify and capitalize on growth opportunities through analysis, product expertise and sound business instinct
  • He gained his professional network and industry relations through his experience in the Egyptian market, he has proven ability to quickly cultivate relationship with hard to access influential decision makers within Academic Hospitals , Institutions and MOH.
  • Managing indirectly the business through two different distributors Assign Channel Strategy and deliver through clear set of KPIs aligned with the different distributors. Set a clear glide path for distribution expansion across Heath Care brands.
  • He also developed clear tracking system for the set KPIs and ensure systematic data flow from distributors. Set annual growth target for distributors to ensure delivering on the company financial plan.

  • Prior to joining Capstone, Hashem held various positions at Qalaa Holdings, a leading Africa-focused private equity firm, most recently as Vice President overseeing the company’s waste management, rail transport and mining investments
  • During his tenure, Hashem has notably lead the operational turnaround and restructuring of a regional waste management/engineering company; ultimately generating positive net profit margins for eight consecutive quarters
  • He also played a key role in raising and executing a USD 70mn fresh equity injection and USD 164mn senior debt facility from a consortium of development finance institutions and banks for the Kenya-Uganda railway concessionaire
  • Prior to joining Qalaa Holdings in 2011, Hashem as an investment banker at CI Capital, where he advised on and completed a number of transactions including the sale of local juice and dairy-maker ‘Enjoy’ to Qalaa Holdings in addition to the EGP 911mn capital increase for Housing and Development Bank via public offering
